I'm Rachel Cassandra, a print and audio journalist and storyteller.

I've published essays, articles, and radio pieces about addiction, mental illness and psychedelic treatment, gun violence, queer activism, and the arts.

I am particularly adept at deep, intimate interviews.

I went to UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism and have written and reported for The Atlantic, VICE, TONIC, Good, Bitch, Atmos, YR Media, Narratively, KQED, KCAW, Hyperallergic, Juxtapoz, KALW, KALX, A Rainbow Squared, Alaska Public Media, The Bold Italic, the Global Sisters' Report, Oakland North, Manic D Press, & The Story Collider.

I live in Central Texas with my boa Squeeze.
